Burnley-based drumming group Suco Samba was established in 2016 with the primary aim of helping to improve physical and mental wellbeing through drumming and performance.

Drumming for Wellbeing

Drumming can:

  • Relieve depression

  • Reduce social isolation

  • Reduce stress and anxiety

  • Burn calories

  • Increase energy

  • Improve circulation

  • Boost cardio and much more....

We welcome in new participants throughout the year to learn to play drums in a fun, relaxed and friendly environment. Regardless of whether you've played drums for years or never picked up an instrument, everyone is welcome! (Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult). No previous experience is necessary and we'll provide all the drumming equipment and ear protection.

If this is something you are interested in, join us each Thursday 7pm-9pm at

Padiham Unitarian Church,

93 Church Street,

BB12 8JH

Suggested donation of £2 per session.

Taking influence from the rhythms of Brazil, Suco Samba are sure to bring their energy and enthusiasm to get the audience moving and grooving at any event!

Suco Samba are available to perform in parades, community events, sporting events, lantern parades and much more throughout the year. Please contact us below if you would like to discuss this further.

Do you want to try something different as a team building exercise? Want to incorporate a drumming for wellbeing workshop at your event? Do you run a regular club and want your participants to try something new? Then contact us as we would love to get involved! We can provide workshops for anyone from the age of 8 with a maximum of 40 participants per workshop.

I am new to the group and have been coming for just for a few weeks. In the last 12 months I’ve had anxiety and whilst I feel miles better now, I felt I needed some different things in my life and do things I want to do. Also, to look after my own well-being, which is important. I was so nervous about going in but everyone made me feel welcome. Thank you everyone, I've really enjoyed it.
